Hoops World Sun, 01/25/2009 11:20 PMWhat To Make of Josh Howard?: They say actions speak louder than words, and if that's true the Dallas Mavericks are moving Josh Howard. The Mavericks say they are not interested in moving Josh, yet almost every team in the league has said they have heard Josh is not only available, but the Mavericks seem motivated to move him. Howard logged his first meaningful game in weeks, logging 34 minutes on Monday in a 95-93 win over the Sixers. This season has seen Josh on the outside of the game plan for Dallas for most of the season, mainly due to injury, injuries those around the club found curious to say the least. Josh would tell people he was ready to play and yet not dress. The team would say that he needed more rest and more treatment, but Josh would deny that in hallway conversations. The trade rumors surrounding Josh have been consistent since the first month of the season and there is growing belief that the "right deal" gets Josh moved before the February 19th trade deadline. It's been hard to read what's real with Dallas as they have flooded the waters with a ton of deals, some real, some not so real. The latest rumors have Howard headed to Miami for Shawn Marion, in a package deal that would likely include the ending deal of Jerry Stackhouse. The HEAT are not as active in the trade market as most in the media would have you believe, but there is some truth to the idea that Miami would look at a Marion deal if it helps make them legit players in the summer of 2010 and a deal with Dallas could do that if it included Marcus Banks heading out. The Mavericks confirmed that they will be players in the 29 days until the trade deadline, the question becomes will the Mavs part with Josh and how aggressive will they be in making a deal happen?
